Birthday Off + Extra Christmas Chill Time
Your birthday? That’s your day. Take it off, guilt-free. And when December rolls around, we throw in two extra days off so you can enjoy the festive season properly. No last-minute holiday math required.
To take your birthday off is quite simple. In fact, all you have to do is remind your manager that it’s your birthday a month in advance and they’ll take care of the rest. I hear you asking, “What if my birthday lands on a weekend this year?” In that case, you can choose either Friday or Monday, so ensure you still get a day away from the office to celebrate how you want.
As for the holiday period, Caspian One gives all employees two additional days off between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. We do ask that you save one day from your personal holiday allowance so that we can close the office for a 3-day period. Again, this will all be booked for you - Just wait for an email from Hannah Van Tuyl each year to confirm the dates.
£400 Personal Development Allowance
Want to learn something new? Upskill? Attend a course or conference? You’ve got £400 a year to invest in you. Or you can opt into company-sponsored training if that’s more your style. Your development, your call.
First, some quick rules… You need to have been employed by Caspian One for a year and have passed your probation before you become eligible for the budget.
Here are some examples of what this can be used for and how to use your budget.
The Personal Development Allowance has been used for all sorts of different things; some have learned a foreign language, others have taken shooting lessons. There have been golf lessons, piano lessons, but the most popular is a personal trainer. You can use the budget towards anything from professional development to learning a new skill and your allowance can be used as part payment towards something that costs more than £400.
To apply for your Personal Development Allowance, go directly to your peopleHR account, where you will find a PDC application form and policy for you to fill out and to get up to speed with all the fine print.
EBC Portal Access
All your benefits, one place. The EBC portal makes it easy to manage your perks, track what you’ve used, and explore what’s available. No spreadsheets required.
Access the portal to learn more about the private healthcare and wellness bundle because your health matters. This bundle includes access to private healthcare and extras to support your physical and mental wellbeing. Because thriving > surviving.
And, while it’s not the most fun topic, it’s important. Our Group Life Assurance Cover gives peace of mind that your loved ones are protected, just in case. Details can also be found in the EBC portal.
